Description:

  • The Software Engineer III - Backend at Kueski will be responsible for creating and supporting user-facing software products, considering both functional and non-functional requirements as well as user experience.
  • They will mentor and support other software engineers, collaborate with different teams, and promote technical excellence within the team.
  • The role involves building products using various technologies, scaling them up using cloud computing, and designing high-quality systems that may involve multiple teams and iterations.
  • The engineer will collaborate with other teams to ensure solutions are feasible and aligned with the technical vision, evaluate trade-offs, identify areas of improvement, and translate business requirements into technical requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in software engineering.
  • Strong experience in backend Software Engineering (JAVA, PYTHON, GO, or RUBY).
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
  • Experience in Microservices, Kafka, and APIs.
  • Strong communication skills to convey simple to complex ideas and translate technical language to non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to navigate uncertainty, structure ideas, and transform requirements into working software.
  • Experience in collaborating in interdisciplinary teams, making decisions based on tradeoffs, and leading medium to complex projects.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting, debugging, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), non-functional requirements, testing types, account management, and authentication.
