Description:

Shippo is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Billing & Fraud Prevention team, working remotely from Brazil.

The role involves developing a billing and payment processing system to support new products and pricing models while addressing increasing fraud in the shipping industry.
Responsibilities include contributing to the SaaS billing system, maintaining the postage billing system for high throughput invoicing, and developing fraud prevention systems.
The engineer will collaborate with the product team to refine new product scopes and work with fellow engineers to create milestones that align with product requirements.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEAM field, preferably in computer science or software engineering, is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience in building high volume distributed systems and scalable APIs, services, or applications.
Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Ruby is necessary.
Experience with data analysis and reporting is required.
Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively conveying information to stakeholders across various departments and levels within the organization.
