Description:
Kueski is seeking a Software Engineer III to work on new products, focusing on creating and supporting user-facing software products that meet functional and non-functional requirements while enhancing user experience.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about mentoring and collaborating with different teams to achieve common goals, promoting technical excellence, and making informed decisions that consider tradeoffs.
Responsibilities include building products using various technologies, scaling them up with cloud computing, designing and building high-quality systems, collaborating with other teams, and translating business requirements into technical requirements.
The Software Engineer will also be responsible for evaluating trade-offs, identifying areas of improvement, supporting team members, and delivering high-quality work quantitatively and qualitatively.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software engineering.
Strong background in backend software engineering using JAVA, PYTHON, GO, or RUBY.
Proficiency in cloud technologies, specifically AWS, and experience with Microservices, Kafka, and APIs.
Excellent communication skills to convey simple to complex ideas, navigate uncertainty, and collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to translate technical language for non-technical individuals, transform requirements into working software, and make decisions based on tradeoffs between business, product, and technology.
Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), non-functional requirements, testing types, account management, and authentication.
