Description:

Astral is seeking a Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team to build their first hosted product.
This role involves full-stack development and is a greenfield project that integrates with Astral's open-source tools.
The engineer will work closely with the CEO and design partners, influencing the technical stack and direction of the product.
Responsibilities include choosing hosting and cloud providers, building deployment systems, designing cloud storage and content serving strategies, backend APIs, and database schema and infrastructure.
Candidates should have deep expertise in building robust cloud infrastructure at scale and the ability to adapt that experience in a startup environment.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate significant experience in building highly performant and robust cloud infrastructure.
A strong ability to navigate and make decisions in a fast-paced startup environment is essential.
Experience with deployment models such as on-prem and Bring Your Own Cloud is required.
Familiarity with open-source collaboration tools like Discord, GitHub, and Notion is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable working asynchronously and minimizing meetings to maximize coding time.
