Remote Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Description:

• As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure, you will be responsible for enabling large-scale compute efforts and enhancing software infrastructure to support seamless research experiences.
• Your role will involve building and managing tools to scale code from single hosts to large GPU clusters.
• You will debug distributed systems, enhance logging and tracing stacks, and design improvements for managing secrets, configurations, and stateful components.
• Collaborating with team members, you will prototype software stack additions, enhance performance in open-source code, and design resilient software solutions.
• Your work will ensure infrastructure resilience and reliability, enabling other engineers to work more effectively.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python, bash, and other scripting languages.
• Passion for creating good tooling for developers to interact with infrastructure in an automated way.
• Experience in DevOps and making informed decisions about various approaches and technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, emphasizing robustness and correctness in scientific infrastructure.
