Description:

  • Enable and support large-scale compute efforts for a small research team at Imbue.
  • Build and manage wrapper tools to scale code seamlessly to large GPU clusters.
  • Debug distributed exceptions and enhance logging and tracing stack.
  • Design improvements for systems managing secrets, configurations, ongoing jobs, and stateful components.
  • Prototype additions to the software stack to address workflow pain points.
  • Dive into open-source or third-party code to add debugging info or performance enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the team to design resilient software against failures and tooling issues.
  • Create abstractions for seamless work and higher-level engineering for the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python, bash, etc.
  • Passion for enabling engineers and developing automated infrastructure tools.
  • DevOps experience with the ability to make informed decisions on technologies.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on correctness and reliability in systems.
