Description:

Esper is seeking an experienced Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join their team and contribute to building and scaling robust cloud infrastructure.
The role involves developing core software systems that bridge the gap between product development and infrastructure.
The engineer will work with engineering leaders to address core technical concerns applicable to the entire engineering organization.
Responsibilities include enabling developers to integrate with infrastructure systems while adhering to security and reliability best practices through the development of software libraries, services, and tooling.
The position requires producing extensive documentation of core infrastructure systems.
The engineer will develop tooling and automation to enable measurable improvements in developer efficiency.
Contributions will be made to all areas of Esper's cloud infrastructure, including security best practices, regular audits, and compliance with federal and state security standards.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a dedicated Platform, Infrastructure, or Cloud Engineering role.
A minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience is required.
Experience with automation and internal tools development is necessary.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Rust are essential.
Candidates should have a desire to own critical infrastructure components that support functions like monitoring, release and deployment, data integrity, networking, and security.
Strong communication skills are required as the role involves close collaboration with all engineering teams.
The ability to write clear and detailed technical documentation is necessary.

This is a remote position, allowing candidates to work from various states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., or Wisconsin.
The annual salary range for this position is $145,000 - $180,000.
