Description:

JupiterOne is a cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) platform company that provides visibility and security into an organization's cyber asset universe.
The Platform team focuses on developing resilient, efficient, and reliable data ingestion processes to help customers understand potential risks associated with their assets.
The Software Engineer, Infrastructure role involves leveraging software and systems engineering expertise to build a robust foundation for the data platform.
Responsibilities include enhancing system reliability and fault tolerance, automating processes for system continuity and recovery, implementing event-based automated workflows, and contributing to next-generation platform infrastructure features.
The role requires proactive identification of challenges and providing insights for improvement.
The tech stack includes NodeJS (Typescript), Golang, AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and various monitoring and automation tools.

Requirements:

Collaborate with and report to the lead of the Platform Engineering Infrastructure team.
Serve as a subject matter expert in backend cloud-native architecture patterns and AWS services.
Develop and enhance event-driven platform automation capabilities.
Contribute to building and implementing next-generation infrastructure features and promote their adoption.
Focus on infrastructure test automation and establish Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Create proactive monitoring systems to identify potential issues early.
Participate in an on-call rotation and the incident response process.
Must have over 5 years of experience in Software Engineering roles, specializing in cloud infrastructure.
Advocate for cloud-native architecture and have hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Proficient in coding with languages such as TypeScript, Golang, or Rust, and in infrastructure test automation.
Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with observability tools.
Experience using security tools to maintain infrastructure and services security.
