Description:

• Orkes is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Infrastructure Services to lead and implement DevOps and site reliability practices within the engineering organization.
• The role involves making it easier for customers to deploy Orkes on their infrastructures and developing tools for stakeholders to operate internal infrastructure efficiently.
• Responsibilities include partnering with engineering and customer-focused roles, establishing a vision for software infrastructure, automating workflows, collaborating on software architecture, and resolving customer infrastructure concerns.
• The successful candidate will shape the future of infrastructure at Orkes, addressing compute, networking, and storage needs.

Requirements:

• Must have experience in architecting and leading best practices for operating large-scale systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is required.
• Experience influencing and leading best practices in compute, networking, and storage infrastructure is essential.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary.
• At least 5 years of coding experience in Go, Java, or other applicable languages, including writing concurrent code, is a must.
• Experience interacting with customers verbally and in writing is required.
• Self-motivated, proactive, with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and lead independently with ownership.
