Description:

As a Software Engineer, you will build systems and abstractions used by teams across the company.
You will join the Foundation team, focusing on improving developer experience, application observability, and designing architectural changes in critical backend components.
Responsibilities include backend systems (75%) and infrastructure (25%), which may vary based on various factors.
You will analyze, design, develop, maintain, and improve software infrastructure to expand automation capabilities.
Your tasks will involve improving development testing efficiency, measuring and driving improvements on scalability, performance, and availability, and responding to on-call alerts.
You will lead large-scale system migrations and participate in cross-team initiatives to drive engineering best practices.
Collaboration with the InfoSec team is essential to ensure compliance, observability, and automation for platform security.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
You must have 8+ years of experience building and managing large-scale, highly available, distributed web applications.
Mastery of a high-level programming language such as Go, Python, or JavaScript is necessary.
Experience with large complex database migrations and sharding/partitioning strategies is required.
You should have experience designing distributed systems and using observability tools like ELK, Prometheus, or Coralogix.
Nice to have: GitHub activity showing relevant contributions, knowledge of multiple programming languages, experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, and experience creating SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
