Description:
Argus Labs is seeking a Software Engineer (Infrastructure/Backend) to join their team remotely in Indonesia.
The company is focused on building the next generation of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, empowering players with the freedom to build, extend, and influence their game worlds.
The role involves developing and maintaining the core game technology infrastructure that serves as the backend for their game worlds.
Responsibilities include architecting systems for seamless communication between games, marketplaces, and user-generated content/platforms.
The engineer will work closely with game designers and other software engineers to ensure technology meets the needs of games and players.
Continuous improvement and optimization of the performance, reliability, and scalability of the infrastructure is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience as a software engineer, with a focus on distributed systems or backend development.
A strong understanding of distributed systems principles and algorithms is required.
Proficiency in Go and prior experience shipping production-grade code is essential.
Experience with container orchestration software such as Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required.
A passion for games and game technology is essential for this role.
