LivePerson is seeking a motivated and collaborative Software Engineer Intern in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The intern will work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to develop both prototypes and production-grade applications.
Responsibilities include designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, implementing REST-based backend services, and creating interactive web applications.
The role involves using public cloud technologies and databases, including NoSQL databases, debugging production issues, maintaining existing code, and developing technical specifications and documentation.
Participation in on-call rotations is also required.

Requirements:

Candidates must be studying Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with Java or JavaScript (Node.js) is required.
Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithm Design is necessary.
Familiarity with databases such as SQL or NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, Cassandra) is expected.
Understanding of REST APIs is essential.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other development tools is required.
It is an advantage to have knowledge or experience in developing web applications, including native JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
