Remote Software Engineer Intern, LiveOps - Marvel Snap at Second Dinner

Second Dinner is an award-winning independent game development studio focused on creating the most fun games in the world, including the acclaimed game MARVEL SNAP.
The Software Engineer Intern position is a full-time, remote internship aimed at contributing to the engineering team behind Marvel SNAP.
The internship is expected to last approximately 12 to 13 weeks, with opportunities for local interns to work from the office.
Interns will work closely with a senior engineer who will mentor them in video game server development.
The role involves integration with the server backend team and collaboration with various disciplines in game development.
Interns will learn about anomaly detection, live service debugging, database management, security, and automated testing.
Responsibilities include using and building monitoring tools, participating in Agile-style meetings, attending regular mentor meetings, and engaging in playtests.

Candidates must have experience programming in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, or C++.
Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
A growth mindset and passion for learning new technologies and skills are essential.
Strong technical and personal communication skills are necessary.
Candidates should have a highly responsive attitude and be collaborative and supportive of team members.
Applicants must be currently enrolled at a university or college.
Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

The position offers a competitive compensation of $40.00 per hour.
