CoinGecko is a global leader in tracking cryptocurrency data, operating since 2014 and serving over 300 million page views in more than 100 countries.
The company is looking for a Software Engineer Intern (Mobile) based in Malaysia or Singapore, who is either pursuing a Bachelor's degree or is a recent graduate within one year of graduation.
The intern will assist in designing and developing mobile applications that meet business needs and requirements.
Responsibilities include writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code, contributing to the release of mobile applications, supporting code review activities, and developing documentation for project delivery.
The intern will assist in testing and debugging procedures to ensure code is error-free and meets specifications.
The role requires staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software testing and participating in knowledge sharing with the team.
The intern will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and designers to ship products and features effectively and support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.

Requirements:

Candidates must have relevant or prior experience in developing usable, full-featured mobile applications.
Applicants should be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
A strong desire to learn about the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry is essential.
Familiarity with mobile development frameworks and tools such as React Native, ReactJS, Javascript, StorybookJS, and Firebase is required.
Candidates must possess clear communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision after three months are necessary.
A passion for solving problems faced by stakeholders and a strong user empathy are important.
A growth mindset and a keen interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and smart contracts are desired.
Prior experience with native app development in Swift, Java, or Kotlin is a plus.
Candidates must be available throughout the second half of 2024 (H2 2024).

For Malaysia-based internships, the allowance is RM2,250, which includes a RM1,500 monthly allowance, RM150 parking allowance, and RM600 meal allowance.
For Singapore-based internships, the allowance is SGD1,500, which includes a SGD1,000 monthly allowance, SGD100 parking allowance, and SGD400 meal allowance.
The position offers remote work flexibility, allowing interns to work from wherever they feel most productive.
Flexible working hours are provided, with no strict 9-5 structure.
Interns will have the opportunity to participate in an annual company offsite to meet colleagues in person and engage in social activities.
