Addepar is a global technology and data company that assists investment professionals in providing informed guidance for their clients.

The Software Engineer Intern will join the Research Engineering Team and work on meaningful projects that can be presented to the company at the end of the internship.
The internship is a 12-week remote experience scheduled for June to August 2025, and is open to US or Canadian students only.
Interns will have a supporting manager and mentor, participate in onboarding programs, and enjoy fun events and swag.
The role involves collaborating with the Research Team, shipping production code, and learning engineering standard processes.
Interns will work on projects related to building frameworks for researchers, data product factories, and AI-first engineering, among others.

Requirements:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution in the US or Canada and must return to school after the internship.
Interns must be available for the full 12-week duration of the internship.
Applicants should possess extraordinary talent in software engineering and the ability to write high-quality code.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
A solid understanding of development standard processes and experience working in a team is necessary.
Candidates must be able to explore complex problem spaces objectively from multiple perspectives.
The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment is essential.
General familiarity with technologies such as Databricks, PySpark, and Python is preferred.
Proficiency in Linux, basic shell scripting, and a solid grasp of systems-level programming is a plus.
Specific experience or knowledge of financial data systems is also a plus.

Interns will gain hands-on experience working alongside talented senior and staff engineers.
The internship provides an opportunity to ship production code regularly and demonstrate projects to an internal audience.
