CoinGecko is a global leader in tracking cryptocurrency data, operating since 2014 and serving over 300 million page views in more than 100 countries.
The company is looking for a Software Engineer Intern (Web) based in Malaysia or Singapore, who is either pursuing a Bachelor's degree or is a recent graduate.
The intern will assist in designing and developing web applications and software solutions that meet business needs.
Responsibilities include writing clean, reusable code, supporting code reviews, developing documentation, assisting in testing and debugging, and staying updated with emerging trends in web development.
The intern will work collaboratively with engineering, product managers, and designers to deliver products and features effectively.
The position requires availability throughout the second half of 2025.

Requirements:

Candidates must have relevant experience in developing usable, full-featured web applications.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, or comparable experience in software development.
A strong desire to learn about the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry is essential.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and back-end technologies (databases, APIs, server-side frameworks) is necessary.
Candidates should have good communication skills and experience working in a team.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently after three months are important.
A passion for problem-solving and a growth mindset towards new technologies are required.
Experience with Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, React, Postgres, MongoDB, and cloud services is a plus.

For Malaysia-based internships, the allowance is RM2,250, which includes a monthly allowance, parking allowance, and meal allowance.
For Singapore-based internships, the allowance is SGD1,500, which includes a monthly allowance, parking allowance, and meal allowance.
The position offers remote work flexibility, allowing interns to work from wherever they feel most productive.
Flexible working hours are provided, with no strict 9-5 structure.
Interns will have the opportunity to participate in an annual company offsite for social activities and reflection.
