Description:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle for the MEMX Trading Platform.
They will focus on low latency, high throughput, event-sourcing application development.
The role involves resolving production software issues and providing primary support during US evening hours for Equities and Options platforms and Market Tech customers.
This position covers the US evening shift of 10PM – 6AM EST.

There are 1-2 seats available targeting non-US candidates.

Requirements:

B.S. in Computer Science is required.
6+ years of Real-Time Server-Side JAVA software development experience is necessary.
The candidate must be independent with the ability to multi-task and cover different systems.
Prior experience in the development of US Equities and/or Options Financial Services is essential.
Strong professional and interpersonal skills are required, including exceptional customer service, creative problem-solving, and effective written and verbal communications.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated the ability to succeed as a self-starter in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
Working experience in various areas like Clearing and Settlement/Back Office processes, Event Sourcing design pattern application development, Time Series Databases, TCP/IP UDP networking, FIX messaging, and tools like GIT, Gradle, Junit, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Wireshark is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $150,000 – 250,000 USD.
