HackerOne is a global leader in offensive security solutions, combining AI with a large community of security researchers to address security, privacy, and AI vulnerabilities.
The Software Engineer IV position is based in London and is a full-time remote role.
The engineer will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to lead various projects and build features for HackerOne's community and clients.
Responsibilities include leading projects, identifying new initiatives, and improving technical weaknesses in codebases.
The onboarding process, called H.A.T.C.H., will help new hires understand the company and their role, including setting up their development environment and familiarizing themselves with engineering processes.
Within the first 90 days, the engineer will engage in hands-on coding, contribute technically, and build trust within the team.
Long-term responsibilities include leading projects, maintaining features, delivering key results, participating in cross-squad initiatives, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, particularly in a SaaS environment.
Proficiency in developing applications using Ruby on Rails, Python, or other object-oriented languages.
Preferred qualifications include experience or interest in generative AI, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and GraphQL.
