Remote Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Description:

• The Software Engineer will be part of the Java/Kotlin teams working on the Channel Manager, a large-scale distribution platform for hotels.
• Responsibilities include refining and delivering product requirements, working in an agile methodology, participating in release and sprint planning, writing clean code, supporting production systems, and collaborating with other developers.
• The role involves working with cloud technologies, asynchronous, reactive, and microservice architectures.
• SiteMinder is the world’s leading open hotel commerce platform, supporting 41,000 hotels in 150 countries with over 100 million reservations processed annually.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Proficiency in Java/JVM technologies and understanding of microservice architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, S3.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora) and key/value store databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis).
• Knowledge of code testability, build pipelines, docker, and CI/CD systems.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborate with product and other teams.

• Must be based in the Philippines.
