Remote Software Engineer (K8s + AWS + Any Programming language- Golang, PHP, Ruby)

Description:

• Acquia is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Observability team, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and performance optimization of all systems.
• The role involves working on core internal systems, tooling, and automation related to logging, monitoring, and traceability.
• The candidate will collaborate with the team to develop scalable and available modules, revolutionize cloud-based products and services, and understand system functionality and architecture.
• Responsibilities include participating in Scrum software development lifecycle, providing product support, and working in a team environment where services are owned and operated by the team.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on Cloud technologies like AWS, Google Compute, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of programming languages such as Golang, PHP, Ruby, or similar.
• Comfortable with unix/linux based operating systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Sumo Logic, New Relic, Dynatrace, Cloudwatch, Splunk, Nagios.
• Interest in building and operating distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Passion for DevOps processes, tools like Jenkins, configuration management systems like Ansible or Puppet, and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform or Cloudformation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
