Remote Software Engineer (K8s,AWS,Python or Ruby)

Description:

• Acquia is seeking a Software Engineer to help lead efforts in revolutionizing the way cloud-based products and services are built, tested, operated, and monitored.
• The position is remote and based in India.
• The Software Engineer will work on core internal systems, tooling, and automation.
• Responsibilities include developing scalable modules, maintaining an understanding of system functionality and architecture, collaborating with team members, and providing product support to stakeholders.
• The role involves participating in the Scrum software development lifecycle and working in a team environment where the team owns and operates the services built.

Requirements:

• A total of 3+ years of experience with hands-on software development, primarily in Cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Extensive hands-on experience with packaging, optimizing, and developing applications on a Kubernetes-based platform.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps processes and tools such as Jenkins, artifact management systems (Artifactory, Sonatype, ECR), and maintaining infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience in building and operating distributed systems and/or service-oriented architectures.
• Understanding of design patterns, writing clean and maintainable code, and unit testing.
• Proficiency in Python or Ruby as a programming language.
• Experience navigating Unix/Linux-based operating systems.
• Some experience with web development frameworks like Flask, Django, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, or React.
• A solid understanding of network security.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Extra credit for holding AWS certifications, exposure to SSO/Identity management solutions, and a mindset to automate repetitive tasks.
