Description:

  • Clipboard Health is a fast-growing tech startup focused on improving the lives of healthcare professionals by connecting them with healthcare facilities through an app-based marketplace.
  • As an L2 Software Engineer, you will write scalable and performant code, primarily using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS.
  • You will build and maintain backend services utilizing MongoDB, Postgres, and Redis to ensure data integrity and speed.
  • Your responsibilities include developing reusable components and utilities for web and mobile solutions, collaborating with the DevX team to enhance tooling and reduce friction.
  • You will own the full software development lifecycle, from problem definition and design to development, testing, and supporting production code.
  • You will deploy your own code using trunk-based development and automated regression testing.
  • Collaboration with product managers and customers is essential to understand real-world healthcare problems and ensure features meet user needs.
  • You will participate in a remote-first culture, effectively communicating in a globally distributed team and embracing asynchronous discussions.
  • You will contribute to a customer-centric approach, focusing on user experience while participating in on-call rotations to deliver reliable services.

Requirements:

  • You should have 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience and be comfortable with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS.
  • Familiarity with AWS deployment processes (ECS, Terraform) is preferred, or a willingness to learn.
  • A growth-oriented and resourceful mindset is essential, with a passion for tackling new challenges and making proactive improvements in the codebase.
  • A strong foundation in testing methodologies, including integration, E2E, and selective unit testing, is required.
  • You should be scrappy and customer-focused, thriving in a high-impact environment and eager to improve healthcare solutions for patients and facilities.
