Description:

  • Twilio is seeking a Software Engineer (L2) for their Backend team, working remotely in India.
  • The role involves developing and delivering new capabilities in the Twilio Messaging platform.
  • You will be part of a scrum team responsible for designing, implementing, owning, and operating microservices in the cloud.
  • The position includes developing front-end solutions for web and mobile applications.
  • You will help build engineering capacity in the Bengaluru office and establish a center of excellence for the Messaging business unit.
  • The role offers the opportunity to influence roadmap priorities and propose innovative solutions for customer engagement.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience is required.
  • Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in developing highly-available, secure, native cloud enterprise SaaS applications using Java or Go-lang.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud infrastructure platforms is necessary.
  • Applicants must have experience in building highly scalable, real-time, distributed systems based on microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.
  • Experience in REST API design and implementation is essential.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and caches is needed.
  • Candidates should have experience implementing modern automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • The ability to translate system designs into software implementations is required.
  • A champion of good engineering habits, including development and test techniques, security, and automation, is preferred.
  • Expertise in solving complex production issues is necessary.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to learn and execute quickly in a small team are essential.
  • Experience with iterative development and deployment, Scrum, and Agile methodologies is required.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing, are necessary.
