  • The role of Software Engineer - L3 Support involves working with Linux-based infrastructure and applications across various layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization, containerization, storage, networking, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.
  • This position requires a passion for Linux and open source, as well as strong troubleshooting skills to resolve critical issues in the open source stack.
  • The role includes responsibilities such as resolving complex customer problems, maintaining relationships with various teams, participating in upstream communities, developing bug fixes, reviewing code, and improving processes and documentation.
  • The position is remote, with occasional international travel (up to 10% of work time) for team meetings and events.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have an exceptional academic track record and a background in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
  • Experience with Linux and open source software is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux is necessary.
  • A strong drive to learn unfamiliar technology and tackle difficult issues is essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events is expected.
