Description:
As a Senior Engineer in the Warehouse Activation group at Twilio, you will be responsible for building and scaling systems that process over 1 billion rows per month to help customers unlock the value of the customer data platform (CDP).
You will work on systems that have a deep understanding of large distributed systems and data processing at scale, connecting directly to customer Data Warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks.
Your role will involve understanding Data Warehouse APIs and integrating with these systems at high scale.
You will design and build the next generation of Warehouse Activation platform, focusing on stream data processing, storage, and other mission-critical systems.
Collaboration with engineering and product leads, supporting platform reliability and security, building and optimizing globally available and highly scalable distributed systems, mentoring other engineers, and partnering with application teams for customer success are key responsibilities.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience writing production-grade code in a modern programming language.
Strong theoretical fundamentals and hands-on experience designing and implementing highly available and performant fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Proficiency in programming languages like Go, Java, Scala, or similar, concurrent programming, Linux systems, and networking concepts.
Experience operating large-scale distributed systems on cloud infrastructure like AWS or GCP, message passing systems, modern stream processing systems, and container orchestration frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD development paradigm, architectural patterns of high-scale web applications, and domain expertise in the Modern Data stack.
Track record of successfully delivering large or complex projects iteratively, strong technical communication skills, and the ability to solve problems effectively.
