Description:

The Software Engineer Level I position at Capital Technology Group involves designing and implementing prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies for high-impact civic tech projects within the federal government.
The role requires analyzing the benefits and risks of implementing solutions using new technologies and providing development support for their adoption within projects.
Responsibilities include developing, modifying, and analyzing computer applications software, designing software solutions to meet user needs, and optimizing operational efficiency through software customization.
The Software Engineer collaborates with other teams to build functional systems that enhance customer experience.

Requirements:

Applicants must be US Citizens and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
A Bachelor's Degree is required along with 5 years of experience in software development.
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, or related languages is necessary.
Knowledge of front-end and back-end languages, JavaScript frameworks, databases, web servers, and UI/UX design is essential.
The ability to quickly adapt to new projects and technologies, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills, is required.

Nice to Have Skills:

Background in Python, interest in DevOps, experience with CI/CD, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes.
