Description:

Capital Technology Group (CTG) is seeking a Software Engineer Level I to support high-impact civic tech within the federal government.
The role involves designing and implementing prototypes and proof-of-concepts for evaluating new or emerging technologies.
Responsibilities include analyzing benefits and risks of implementing solutions, providing development support for new technologies, and collaborating with other teams to build functional systems that enhance customer experience.
The position requires applicants to be US Citizens and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
Candidates must have 5 years of experience in software development.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, or related languages is necessary.
Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries, particularly JavaScript, is required.
Familiarity with back-end languages like Java and Python, as well as JavaScript frameworks such as React, is essential.
Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), web servers (e.g., Apache, Jenkins), and UI/UX design is expected.
Candidates must be able to quickly adapt to new projects and technologies.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Nice to have skills include a background in Python, an interest in DevOps, experience with CI/CD, AWS, and Docker/Kubernetes.

The position offers remote work options, with hybrid roles specified in the job post.
