Description:

Makro PRO is a new digital venture by Makro aimed at building a technology platform for restaurant owners, hotels, and independent retailers.
The company seeks a Software Engineer (Machine Learning) to tackle challenges in search, recommendation systems, NLP, and personalization.
The role involves working with GenAI technologies, traditional ML, and scalable AI systems to solve high-impact problems.
Key responsibilities include fine-tuning and deploying Generative AI models, designing ML-driven systems for search and recommendations, working with SQL and data analysis, and architecting solutions for scalable ML training.
Optional responsibilities include managing MLOps pipelines for deployment and monitoring.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering focused on machine learning, with a proven track record of developing production-grade systems.
Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn is required.
A strong understanding of transformers, SQL, PEFT techniques, and traditional ML algorithms like XGBoost and clustering is necessary.
A background in search, recommendation systems, or large language models (LLMs) is preferred.

The position offers a renewable contract for 1 year.
