The Software Engineer - Machine Learning/Generative AI position is remote and based in Canada.
The role involves building tools to help users navigate the news ecosystem and pioneering new AI applications tailored for the news landscape.
Responsibilities include working with Data Engineers and Machine Learning engineers to integrate AI solutions, building LLM-powered applications, maintaining ML projects across the full stack, collaborating with UI/UX Designers and Product Managers, and coordinating cross-team efforts for feature creation.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in building production web applications, preferably in lean and agile environments.
A strong understanding of clean code principles, SOLID design patterns, and software development best practices, including automated testing and CI/CD, is required.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, VueJS, React.js, and Next.js is necessary for full stack expertise.
Experience with MySQL, Express, and Node.js is required for backend skills.
Candidates must be proficient in designing and documenting RESTful APIs for web and mobile platforms.
Hands-on experience with Large Language Models, including prompt engineering and LLM deployment, is essential.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
