Remote Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure

Description:

• Serve Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer for their Machine Learning Infrastructure team to enhance their ML platform.
• The role involves developing and maintaining scalable data processing pipelines for data curation, annotation, search, and ML feature extraction.
• Responsibilities include building and improving active learning pipelines, ensuring scalability of training jobs and inference endpoints, and maintaining orchestration and scheduling systems.
• The engineer will collaborate with autonomy engineers to enhance the autonomy data platform, build integrations with annotation providers, and develop infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• The position also requires implementing CI/CD processes, developing monitoring and alerting frameworks, and working with the data team to ensure data quality and availability.

Requirements:

• A BS or MS in computer science or equivalent work experience with a focus on data engineering and machine learning is required.
• Candidates must have at least 2 years of industry experience in developing big data processing and/or machine learning pipelines.
• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• A solid understanding of system design fundamentals and distributed computing concepts is essential.
