Remote Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure

Description:

• Serve Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer for their Machine Learning Infrastructure team in Vancouver, BC, with remote work options available.

• The role involves developing and maintaining scalable data processing pipelines for data curation, annotation, search, and machine learning feature extraction.
• Responsibilities include building and improving active learning pipelines, ensuring the scalability of training jobs and inference endpoints, and developing orchestration and scheduling systems.
• The engineer will collaborate with autonomy engineers to enhance the autonomy data platform, build integrations with annotation providers, and develop infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• The position also requires the development of monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure platform reliability and cost efficiency, as well as collaboration with ML Engineers to accelerate development velocity.

Requirements:

• A BS or MS in computer science or equivalent work experience, with a focus on data engineering and machine learning is required.
• Candidates must have at least 2 years of industry experience in developing big data processing and/or machine learning pipelines.
• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• A solid understanding of system design fundamentals and distributed computing concepts is essential.
