Description:
Serve Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer for their Machine Learning Infrastructure team in Vancouver, BC, with remote work options available.
The company is focused on revolutionizing urban deliveries through their sidewalk robot, aiming to alleviate street congestion and enhance delivery accessibility for local businesses.
The role involves developing and maintaining scalable data processing pipelines for data curation, annotation, search, and machine learning feature extraction.
Responsibilities include building and improving active learning pipelines, ensuring the scalability of training jobs and inference endpoints, and developing orchestration and scheduling systems.
The engineer will collaborate with autonomy engineers to enhance the autonomy data platform, build integrations with annotation providers, and develop infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
The position also requires the development of monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure platform reliability and cost efficiency, as well as collaboration with ML Engineers to accelerate development velocity.
Requirements:
A BS or MS in computer science or equivalent work experience, with a focus on data engineering and machine learning is required.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of industry experience in developing big data processing and/or machine learning pipelines.
A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
Proficiency in Python is required.
A solid understanding of system design fundamentals and distributed computing concepts is essential.
