Description:
Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure for a remote position in Canada.
This role is designed for a data-focused engineer who is passionate about building scalable infrastructure to support machine learning and robotics.
As a member of the ML Infrastructure team, you will develop tools and systems for robust ML model training, data curation, and real-time inference.
You will collaborate with autonomy engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to streamline data workflows and enhance training efficiency.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines for ML feature extraction, annotation, and curation from high-volume sensor data.
You will build and enhance active learning pipelines and ensure scalable deployment of training jobs and inference endpoints.
The role involves developing orchestration and scheduling systems to optimize data workflows and collaborating cross-functionally to improve data accessibility and efficiency.
You will integrate with external annotation services for high-volume, high-quality data labeling and implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Establishing monitoring, alerting, and cost optimization tools to maintain platform stability and reliability is also part of the job.
You will support ML engineers by streamlining their experimentation and deployment workflows and manage data storage and retention policies.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience with a focus on ML or data engineering is required.
Candidates must have 2+ years of experience building large-scale data or ML pipelines.
At least 1+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with distributed computing systems are essential.
An understanding of system design principles and scalable architecture is required.
Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect is a plus.
Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and familiarity with vector databases or RAG approaches is advantageous.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, IaC frameworks, and big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a bonus.
