  • The Software Engineer-Mobile Engineer role is a support development position within the iOS technology stack.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with the tech lead and development team to build a secure, privacy-focused browser for iOS using WebKit.
  • The engineer will assist in implementing core functionalities such as secure browsing and data protection features.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Swift while following best practices and coding standards is essential.
  • The role involves testing and debugging browser features to ensure smooth functionality and secure user experiences.
  • Staying informed about iOS updates and WebKit changes is necessary to apply the latest features and improvements.
  • Participation in code reviews and managing risk identification and mitigation strategies is expected.
  • The engineer will also mentor others and support the growth of technical capabilities within the Architecture Practice community.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with proficiency in specified technologies is necessary.
  • Basic experience in iOS app development, particularly in Swift, with exposure to WebKit or similar frameworks is needed.
  • Understanding of fundamental security and privacy principles in mobile app development is essential.
  • Familiarity with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and iOS privacy policies is required.
  • The candidate should be eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, especially in secure and privacy-focused application development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary, with the ability to work under guidance and independently on smaller tasks.
  • Expertise in unit testing (Jest) and experience with GitHub is required.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate clearly with clients and managers.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies, including awareness of user stories and story estimation, is necessary.
