Description:

Virta Health is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Mobile and React Native to join their team remotely.
The company aims to reverse obesity and type 2 diabetes through individualized nutrition and ongoing clinical support.
The role involves building features and maintaining a cross-platform mobile application used by members daily, directly impacting their lives.
Responsibilities include developing medium to large-scale initiatives in the mobile application using React Native and TypeScript, modernizing existing screens, collaborating with various teams to deliver new features, troubleshooting and debugging issues, managing the mobile release process, and promoting high-quality software engineering practices.
Within the first 90 days, the engineer is expected to release at least one medium feature, collaborate with team members, and propose process improvements.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3.5+ years of software engineering experience in building mobile apps using React Native or similar technologies.
Experience in integrating REST or GraphQL APIs with backend teams is required.
A strong design intuition, love for the craft, and empathy for users are essential, with the ability to critique designs based on user impact.

The compensation range for this role is between $145,000 and $185,000, based on qualifications and experience.
