Description:

Octopus Deploy is seeking a Software Engineer for the Modern Deployments team, which focuses on deploying applications into Kubernetes clusters.
The role is remote and available to candidates located in Australia or New Zealand.
The team has developed a Kubernetes agent that operates within the cluster to support workload execution.
The software on the Octopus side is primarily written in C#, while the Kubernetes side is developed in Go.
A typical day may involve working from a personalized home office, collaborating on code changes in GitHub, addressing customer support tickets, and pairing with other engineers to solve complex problems.
Responsibilities include fixing bugs, improving documentation, and writing blog posts about development topics.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
Experience in C# is preferred, along with a willingness to learn more.
Applicants should be comfortable making decisions regarding dependency, extensibility, and compatibility in software engineering.
A background in automating deployments and operational tasks, particularly with Kubernetes and Argo CD, is desirable.

The compensation for this role ranges from $115k AUD / $125k NZD for maturing candidates to $135k AUD / $145k NZD for performing candidates, excluding Super and Kiwi Saver.
Employees receive a minimum of 25 days of annual leave and up to 10 days of paid sick and carer's leave.
