Description:
Cognigy is transforming the customer service industry with its advanced AI Agent platform for enterprise contact centers.
The role of Software Engineer - NLU is available on-site in Düsseldorf or remote in Germany.
The engineering department consists of cross-functional, verticalized development teams focused on continuous improvements and new product development.
Responsibilities include developing software solutions that meet customer needs, creating high-quality and maintainable code, and ensuring the codebase is tested and secure.
The engineer will profile and benchmark the codebase, ensure operational excellence through monitoring and testing, and provide guidance to junior developers.
The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and making informed decisions on software solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in backend software development.
Experience in writing well-tested and high-quality code is essential.
Proficiency in Python and Typescript is required, with additional experience in Golang being a plus.
Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ is necessary.
Knowledge of Machine Learning Theory, including SVMs, Neural Networks, and LLMs, is required.
Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) is essential.
Candidates should have experience with Kubernetes and ideally be familiar with writing Helm charts.
Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and Redis is required.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana is necessary.
Candidates should be open to learning various programming languages and passionate about sharing best practices.
