Remote Software Engineer, Observability

Description:

• Design and build an observability infrastructure for enterprise customers.
• Develop front and back-end software applications focusing on meaningful insights and alerting.
• Overcome scale and cost challenges of Observability solutions.
• Participate in rotating on-call incident response on weekdays and weekends.
• Implement scalable web services, applications, and APIs.
• Educate and lead efforts to improve observability for all customers.
• Implement best practices for metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Collect, aggregate, and visualize metrics for actionable insights.
• Identify bottlenecks and enhance software efficiency.
• Collaborate with the design team on developing micro-services.
• Report progress and roadblocks to Engineering Managers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in fullstack engineering.
• Design, automate, and optimize observability platforms for logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript, Node.js, Go, or others.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and deployment automation.
• Experience in identifying and resolving issues in distributed systems.
