Description:

Onebrief is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Performance Testing to enhance the performance and reliability of their real-time application built on top of socket.io.
The role involves developing and leveraging tools for automating performance testing and monitoring.
The engineer will collaborate with product teams to address performance considerations early in the development process to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities include resolving performance-related issues and assisting the Test Platform team in improving the overall testability of the application.
The core technologies used in this role include React, Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes.
The position is remote and full-time, aimed at someone who is passionate about the defense sector and eager to contribute to a growing startup.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with extensive knowledge of React and Node.js.
Experience in performance testing and tuning for React applications and RESTful APIs is required.
Applicants should have a proven track record of creatively implementing shift-left methodologies that have led to improved code quality.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in performance testing and tuning SQL queries.
Familiarity with maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions (or similar) and Docker, Kubernetes is preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to creating value for users, possess ambition, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to learn quickly.
Strong communication skills, integrity, and the ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment are essential.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
