Description:

The position is for a Software Engineer (PHP) at Smoobu, a subsidiary of HomeToGo Group, located in Krakow or available for remote work within Poland.
Smoobu is a fast-growing vacation rental startup managing over 70,000 properties across more than 120 countries with an all-in-one SaaS solution for private hosts.
The role involves developing and improving Smoobu's product to help hosts efficiently manage and grow their businesses.
Responsibilities include working with business stakeholders to identify requirements, planning milestones, and measuring feature performance.
The engineer will decompose the monolith and build various APIs for seamless integration with external partners and inter-service communication.
The application environment will be migrated from a private cloud to the AWS platform.
The role requires choosing appropriate technical and business metrics to monitor features and manage risks.
The engineer will apply engineering best practices and contribute to resolving technical design issues.

Requirements:

Candidates must have relevant experience in backend engineering.
Expertise in PHP and Symfony, relational databases (MySQL), and Docker is required.
Practical knowledge of decomposing monolithic architectures, clean coding, Test-Driven Development, and SOLID principles is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a distributed team are necessary.
Professional working proficiency in English is required.
