Description:
As a Software Engineer in Product Reliability at Cash App, you will be part of the Production Readiness team responsible for proactively and reactively enhancing the reliability infrastructure.
Your role will involve building and extending platforms to enhance system reliability, conducting load and correctness testing at scale for services, managing and enhancing incident response technology, writing well-tested code, and collaborating with product engineering teams to boost reliability and performance.
You will work on team goals focused on reliability for the entire company.
The position requires a metrics-focused, data-driven approach and a passion for creating distributed systems that facilitate product development at scale.
Requirements:
Must have a drive to identify root causes in complex systems and take corrective actions.
Demonstrated technical initiative and leadership on previous projects, particularly those with a backend/platform focus.
Need to possess boundless curiosity, autonomy, a strong sense of accountability, and a desire to grow as an engineer.
Should be able to exemplify engineering best practices and share them with the team.
Experience working on systems where data consistency and availability are crucial.
Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
