Remote Software Engineer (Python, AWS, SQL)

Description:

• We are seeking a Software Engineer to lead the development of innovative new systems and solutions utilizing generative AI.
• The team focuses on proving the value of new technology and bringing it to production quickly.
• Responsibilities include creating new business logic using RESTful API standards, deploying and maintaining databases in SQL and NoSQL, and designing features that connect the user interface to underlying APIs.

• Candidates should have experience collaborating with data scientists and business analysts to bridge the gap between business and technology.
• A deep understanding of machine learning best practices and algorithms is essential.

• Responsibilities also include deploying to cloud-based platforms and troubleshooting application and configuration issues.
• The role involves utilizing tools for code and test generation to accelerate feature delivery.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in backend or fullstack development, demonstrated through a comprehensive portfolio.
• Proven capability to independently bring a basic application from idea to delivery is required.
• Experience with Python for application development, AWS, database systems, and SQL is essential.
• Familiarity with the Python ecosystem, including tools for build, test, and deployment, is necessary.
• Candidates should be able to work with ambiguity and think critically about problems.
• A basic understanding of backend technologies and RESTful services, with practical experience in integrating and consuming APIs, is required.
• Demonstrated adaptability to an agile development environment is essential.
• Candidates should be able to visualize and communicate the architecture of proposed systems or services.
