Remote Software Engineer - Python (Remote in the United Kingdom)

Description:

• The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing new and exciting products for KnowBe4’s customers.
• This role involves working alongside other engineers in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• The engineer will develop software using the KnowBe4 Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies.
• They will provide a technical contribution to projects and assist in identifying solutions to engineering challenges.
• Collaboration with the team to meet strategic and operational objectives is essential.
• Participation in cross-functional team discussions to drive project outcomes is required.

Requirements:

• A BS or equivalent plus 3 years of experience is required, or an MS/Ph.D. or equivalent with no experience.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Microsoft Azure is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Docker in Linux environments is necessary.
• Experience in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) environments is required.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, is essential.
• Candidates should possess creativity, self-motivation, and acute attention to detail.
• Nice to have: Experience with .NET Core and modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.
• Nice to have: Ability to develop and enhance REST/JSON API clients.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Mocha) and Agile development.
• Nice to have: Understanding of event-driven microservice architecture and version control with Git.
