Remote Software Engineer - Quality

Description:

• The Software Engineer - Quality at Opaque will contribute to product quality by building and enhancing automation frameworks.
• Responsibilities include participating in the design, implementation, deployment, and testing of the product.
• The role involves developing scalable and efficient test automation frameworks, executing tests for scalability and system performance, and conducting performance benchmarking.
• The engineer will conduct both manual and automated testing, develop comprehensive test plans, identify and track defects, and participate in design and code reviews.
• Collaboration across teams, deciphering implicit requirements, and delivering high-quality features are essential aspects of the position.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of test methodologies and tools for ensuring product quality.
• Experience in Behavioral Driven Development and programming/testing large-scale products is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and/or other functional programming languages.
• Passion for automation and testing.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level software product development.
• Self-driven with excellent communication skills and programming ability.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages.
• Good understanding of relational database concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working on security products is advantageous.
