Description:

  • NearForm is looking for a skilled Software Engineer (React) to join their team of consultants, working directly with clients on diverse and impactful projects.
  • The role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in modern web development who are eager to expand their expertise, collaborate with clients, and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.
  • Responsibilities include client collaboration, technical implementation using React and JavaScript, design integration, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Bonus points for experience in consulting, contributions to open-source projects, familiarity with Node.js frameworks, basic experience with persistence layers, Next.js, headless CMS platforms, and extensive use of TypeScript.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: 4+ years of software development with a focus on React and JavaScript.
  • JavaScript Proficiency: Strong understanding of JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Testing Methodologies: Knowledge of front-end testing libraries like Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Build Tools & Version Control: Experience with Webpack, Parcel, npm, yarn, and Git.
  • API Familiarity: Understanding of RESTful APIs and basic GraphQL knowledge.
  • Design Collaboration: Experience translating UI/UX designs into web interfaces.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Mentorship & Learning: Desire to learn and mentor junior developers.
  • Client-Facing Passion: Enthusiasm for client-facing roles and promoting code health.
