Tecton helps companies unlock the full potential of their data for AI applications by streamlining the complex process of preparing and delivering data to models.
The Realtime Compute team builds streaming infrastructure that provides sub-second data freshness for AI applications in production.
The position is open to candidates based anywhere in the United States, with options to work in hub offices in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, or fully remotely.
Responsibilities include developing advanced streaming capabilities, building an integrated observability solution, scaling the ingestion platform, reducing cold start times for the Python execution environment, launching infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, and assessing and prioritizing tasks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in programming, debugging, and performance tuning distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems.
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required, with strong proficiency in building high throughput infrastructure.
Experience with streaming infrastructure technologies such as Flink, Spark, Pulsar, or Heron is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with Python runtimes, dependency resolution, and container sandboxing.
Experience with at least one cloud platform, either AWS or GCP, is required.
Familiarity with low latency online storage solutions like DynamoDB, Redis, and BigTable is essential.

The estimated US base salary range for this position is $189,000 - $231,000 annually for employees based within California and New York.
