Remote Software Engineer (Remote, Brazil)

Description:

• Rutter is seeking a talented Backend (Fullstack) Engineer from Brazil to join their Integrations Engineering team.
• The role involves designing, building, and maintaining integrations with key business platforms to enhance Rutter's service to its global customer base.
• The engineer will collaborate closely with teams based in the US and Brazil, primarily in Eastern Standard Time and Brasilia Standard Time.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining integrations with commerce, accounting, and advertising platforms such as Shopify, QuickBooks Online, and Meta.
• The engineer will build robust systems for alerting, testing, and tooling to streamline the maintenance of external dependencies.
• Continuous improvement of the core systems that power Rutter's integrations is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Business fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required, along with strong communication skills.
• A passion for building developer-centric solutions and improving the developer experience is essential.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL is required, although strong engineering skills are valued over specific tech stacks.
• Ideally, candidates might have experience building and maintaining integrations with third-party platforms and managing external dependencies.
• Familiarity with scaling API products and experience working with remote teams across various time zones is preferred.
