Remote Software Engineer (Remote - Canada)

• Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer II, Cloud Infrastructure for a remote position in Canada.

• The engineer will help shape and support a reliable, secure, and scalable cloud environment across AWS and Azure.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing secure infrastructure solutions, building internal tools using Python or Go, and guiding engineering teams in cloud usage and performance optimization.
• The engineer will lead infrastructure projects from problem statements through execution and deployment.
• The role requires contributing to Infrastructure as Code best practices, primarily using Terraform, and collaborating across engineering teams on architecture, security, and cloud standards.
• Participation in interviews, mentorship, and process improvement initiatives is also expected.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience is required.
• Candidates must have 6+ years in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure-focused role.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS and working knowledge of Azure is necessary.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux systems and networking are required.
• Hands-on experience in Python or Golang is essential.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform, is required.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving are necessary.
