Description:
Underdog is seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join their rapidly growing team.
The role involves working on cutting-edge projects that focus on gamifying and building unique features for fantasy and sports betting products.
Responsibilities include designing and developing clean, well-structured, and performant features that will be used by millions of customers.
The engineer will collaborate closely with product-minded individuals and client engineers to shape and deliver transformative products.
The position requires advocating for best practices to establish strong foundational development practices within the team.

Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on product-minded development.
A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Ruby and Ruby on Rails is required.
Strong collaboration skills and a passion for fostering best practices within the team are essential.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary for effective interaction with both engineers and product stakeholders.
Experience in fantasy sports and/or sports betting is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates who have worked through a significant growth phase of a company will be at an advantage.
Familiarity with building dashboards or using tools like DataDog or Amplitude is a plus.
Experience in building highly scalable and available systems to manage high traffic with low latency is also beneficial.
