Description:

  • Skydropx is innovating logistics and seeks a Ruby on Rails Developer to join their dynamic, ambitious, and multicultural team.
  • The role involves collaborating closely with other developers and the product team to define, design, and create services that enhance software products using modern architecture and development methodologies.
  • Responsibilities include developing new features and improvements for products and services securely and thoroughly, following company guidelines.
  • The developer will write detailed technical documentation and resolve moderately complex technical problems.
  • Ensuring code style, maintainability, and best practices is essential.
  • The role includes mentoring Junior Engineers to help them develop their technical skills and remove obstacles to their autonomy.
  • The developer will confidently launch moderately sized features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from team members.

Requirements:

  • A B2 level of English or higher is essential.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in software design and application development using Ruby and JavaScript is required.
  • Experience in creating microservices and consumption APIs is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge and professional experience in software engineering and best practices for the complete software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, is required.
  • Practical experience in writing and distributing large-scale distributed systems and high-quality client-server architectures is essential.
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and collaborate with both technical and non-technical peers is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience working with GCP, Kafka and/or Pub/Sub, containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and knowledge of common algorithms and data structures.
